Day 25 - My Internet Payday Review Update

As of end of day, May 28th 2009, I have had 4,956 Page Impressions, 20 Clicks, paying me $10.46 from Google. I am rolling out a big campaign for the month of June for my www.DoubleDownNow.NET site. This will be the test. The test of I think this program will work!

Week 4 training was about using social networking (ie. Facebook, Twitter, etc). I am in the process of setting up those pages now.

All in all, the training is still worth the $77 I have invested. I need to make a decision if I am going to roll into month 2 though quickly. As of now, yes.

Day 17 - My Internet Payday Review Update

Well, to be totally honest, I have been side tracked a good part of the week and have not had too much time to proceed with the course, and give My Internet Payday Review. However, I did finish Joel Comm's AdSense 4 Book and that was very helpful. However, some of the concepts wont come into play for a few weeks on my sites.

I have not started Week 3 training yet, because I want to be caught up and ready to do it. I am hoping to get started tonight after my daughter goes to bed (life of a parent!)

ADSENSE UPDATE: Here are my full stats, since I started up through 5pm today:

2,344 - Impressions
8 - Clicks
$4.89 - Revenue

I find this very good! I have had quite a few impressions, but my clicks suck. However, this is something I can work on improving as I progress through the program. What I do like, and I learned more about in Joel's book, is the revenue difference in certain ads. Some ads I was only paid a few cents on, and there was one ad that I was paid $1.36 on.

I will be doing more research and trying to figure out how to increase my clicks!

I am happy thus far, as I didn't expect to become a millionaire (overnight anyways).

My Video Feed update is only up to $.24 since start. So, I will not focus on those video ads as much, but still keep them around.

Day 13 - My Internet Payday Review Update

Well, going into Sunday, I have made a total of $.02 from Google! Two cents down, many to go!

I also found a video ad website called http://www.thenewsroom.com/. This site has made me $.10 so far. It works much like google AdSense, but plays videos once people find the page. If visitors watch the entire ad, I get paid (much like a click).

I have a feeling that this work from home business program will soon start implementing other sources of advertising. So, maybe I am jumping ahead.

To be completely fair in this My Internet Payday Review, I have not started to really dig down with SEO. So, hopefully in the next week or 2, we get rolling in Traffic Generation.

I am finishing up on Joel Comm's AdSense 4, 230pg E-book. This is part of week 2's homework. Pretty interesting book thus far.

Day 9 - Week 2 of My Internet Payday training

I went through the training videos for week 2 yesterday. I put in about (5) hours of work looking for new domain names and better keywords. Right now, I have (5) active sites I will be promoting and trying to grow:

http://www.doubledownnow.net/ - A Slow Pitch Softball Fundraising site

http://loanmodanswers.blogspot.com/ - A blog answering the many questions surrounding the new Mortgage Loan Modification programs

http://doubledownnow.blogspot.com/ - A blog created for Softball Bat Reviews

http://vegasreviewjournals.blogspot.com/ - A blog created for Vacationers who want to read my personal reviews on Las Vegas Hotels, Las Vegas Restaurants, Las Vegas Casinos, Las Vegas Shows, Las Vegas Deals, and things to do for Free in Las Vegas.

and this site here http://myinternetpaydayreview.blogspot.com/ - A complete My-Internet-Payday Review

This week, I will be working on creating actual blogs that can be hosted on my own domains as well as trying to drive more traffic to my sites by participating in related forums and writing more articles..

Day 7 - Finally!

Google finally approved my AdSense account. Now, my blog(s) have AdSense. So, I will be digging deeper into that here tonight.

My eZine article was denied because they think I am trying to sell something. I am going to wait unil after training tomorrow before I decided if it is worth it or not to keep trying to get a dumb article published or keep hammering the blogs as far as "off site" marketing goes.

As of midnight tonight, the 11th of May, I had (21) page impressions. I have no idea if those are me personaly going to site or not. I have a feeling a few were mine, just because I kept checking out the blog. I am sure these number stink, but i want to keep it real forthe review!

I am digging in the pocket $79 tomorrow for month 1 of training at myinternetpayday.

Day 6 - Update

Still no approval with Google AdSense!!!!!!!

Also, My (2) articles are still pending approval.

I went ahead and posted another (35) comments on others boards/blogs that link my name/site (off site). This took me about an hour to surf through sites and leave posts. So that is approximately (65) total so far in addition to the (2) articles.

I may have found another free blog site, wordpress.com. I will be investigating this soon.

Monday better be a good day! Google, get your act together and approve my account!

Day 4 Update

My Google AdSense account has yet to be approved. I am starting to get frustrated. I also put together (2) PR Release, Off Site Link, articles which are both still pending site approval as well. Therefore, no progress at all.

I did venture out and leave approximately (30) posts on message boards and related blogs leaving a link to my My Internet Payday Review blog, off site links.

Lets hope that google gives me the green light soon!

Day 3 - Update

I am currently still waiting on Google to approve my blog, My Internet Payday Review, before they allow me to use their AdSense program for affiliate advertising links.

I am also waiting on my (2) off site link press release articles that I wrote to be approved for public release.

I will keep you posted!

Day 1 (b) - Week 1 Training

As I logged into this website, it immediately told me to “click here” to get started with very easy to follow instructions. There was a welcome letter from that guy who was on the earlier video on the My Internet Payday signup page, founder Joel Comm, who said to immediately get started with Week 1 training. There was a .PDF to print out that was a guide to Week 1's training. Print this out and use at a blueprint, map or even a checklist if you will, on all the tasks that you will need to do in week 1.

Then, following this .PDF, there was a list of videos that I was to watch, in order, 1 by one. So, I grabbed a set of head phones and a note book and started on this series of videos.

The 1st videos were motivational. They went over the basic idea of what the program was about, Listing Google ads on the internet, and getting internet traffic to see and click on these links. Google then pays you for the lead. Affiliate link marketing. I think we all know that basic idea. However, the next few videos went into detail on how to build a simple blog, since many of us don't have our own website or even know how to build one.

The next set of videos talked about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and how to find keyword trends. How to get your blog or web site to the top of the search engines list. The next set of videos proceeded to talk about offsite link building. Creating articles and press releases on other sites that contain your link to your blog. This helps the SEO.

After the videos were completed, you were reminded to...TAKE ACTION!
  • Brain storm and find a niche, hobby, talent or interest you want to create a blog about (what better of a blog to start, but a My Internet Payday Review blog)
  • Create a blog
  • Start entering "quality content" into the blog
  • Create a few Offsite links

So, I invested the next (6) hours of my day and set up a blog, (2) offsite link articles, and sent my new blog into Google for review in order to get approved for their advertising program, AdSense.

This was the end of Week 1 Training. I would not have access to Week 2 Training until next week Tuesday (7 days). Ah Ha! This is where they get you. Your free (7) day trial gets your taste buds going and if you go to Week 2 Training, you by default pay the $78.64 for the month.

I looked at the entire training schedule (which they layout very nice). It was a (13) week schedule. I figured that was approximately (3) months. I was actually quite pleased at the content of Week 1 training and the absolute ease of navigation and the STEP-BY-STEP training approach this site takes. SO, (3) month at $78.64/month, would be a worst case $235.92 investment in my education of internet marketing.

I already could use what I learned in Week 1 training for marketing in my everyday job (Mortgage Professional). So, the initial dollar was well spent :)!!! Hmmm, my wife and I have a ton of books lying around the house that we had purchased and read at one time for either education or enjoyment. These books were at least $12 each, totaling a truck load of money we have already spent. My wife and I have college loans that are still far from being paid off. The course seems to be VERY structured. Well......let’s do it.

I will venture into Week 2, 3, and4 and reevaluate at the end of Month 1. The $78.64 is taken out every (30) days from the day you join. Therefore, I have until WED June 3rd to decide if I want to continue. I will play it safe and reevaluate on SUN May 31, 2009. This will give me 4 weeks of training and I should be able to see if I have made any profit and see any further value. As well as, write a My Internet Payday Review.

I hope the investment pays for itself either by Google, or by making additional sales in my day job. We shall see.

Day 1 (a) - I found this site....

Day 1- Tuesday, May 5, 2009. As I was reading an online local news article, I noticed a banner add to the right that had a picture of a young family and it stated "Would you like to make $5,000/month posting links on Google?" I was finished with my article, and thought to myself "click on the dumb link and get it over with". So, I clicked on this link and it took me to this individual’s personal “money” blog.

The individual's blog stated how she was making over $5,000/month within 4 weeks of starting the program. There was a link to get started with the Google Biz Kit. So...I clicked on that link to get transferred (obviously knowing that these are all Affiliate links and that is where the money is being made).

This took me to, not Google, but to My Internet Payday's site. There was a form to the right that asked for my name and contact information. I filled it out and clicked submit. Then a video of a man started speaking about this great opportunity with Google. This guy would show you how to make great money, not a gazillion dollars, but great money by working with the internet’s largest search engine, Google.

His "system" if you will, was $1.oo for the first 7 days as a trial period. I clicked on the disclaimer (always do this) to see what the ongoing charge would be after the trial period if I didn't cancel. After reading the disclaimer, it spelled out that after the 7 trial period expires, and you didn't cancel, it would cost you approx $75/month to continue. You could cancel at any time.

I then Googled My Internet Payday Review and found no real negative information on the program.

So, what the heck, a Buck. I entered my credit card information for the $1 and immediately set my Outlook Calendar to remind me that (6) days from now (in case I forgot) to cancel this if I lost interest. I then proceeded to sign up for My Internet Payday's site. I was issued a username and password and was off to check out this site.
